"Ballad of Pinelli" featured in NO Bonzo strip

Anarchist illustrator NO Bonzo has included elements of my translation of the Ballad of Pinelli in one of their recent works.

Giuseppe Pinelli was an anarchist, railroad worker, a member of the Circolo Anarchico Ponte della Ghisolfa, and an activist in the Anarchist Black Cross. He was murdered on December 15, 1961, by the police in Milan, Italy, where he was being interrogated for his alleged involvement in the Piazza Fontanna bombing which took place several days earlier. In fact, Pinelli and his friend Valpreda were framed; the bombing was carried out by Novo Ordo, a neo-fascist group with ties to the Italian police and to the CIA through Operation Gladio, as part of the far right's "strategy of tension", inciting state repression of the left. The bombing was one of the opening acts of more than a decade of political violence in Italy which would be known as the Years of Lead.
